Amaretto
Turbinado sugar provides a smooth taste

  • 2 -1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup Turbinado (Demerara) sugar
  • heat until the sugar is dissolved
  • cool to room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp almond extract
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz 80 proof rum

makes right at 32 oz.

Kahlua

Demerara syrup

  • 1 cup Demerara (Turbinado) sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • heat until dissolved

Kahlua recipe

  • 2/3 cup fresh ground coffee
  • 2 -1/2 cups water @ 180 degrees
  • French Press, seep 4 minutes
  • Add 2 cups of the coffee to the Demerara syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rum

makes right at 32 oz.
